An environmental group is suing Tyson Foods (TSN.N.), opening a new tab for allegedly misleading consumers by saying it will reach net-zero emissions by 2050 and marketing climate-friendly beef without meaningful plans to achieve those goals.
The Washington-based Environmental Working Group (EWG) filed the suit in D.C. Superior Court on Wednesday. Tyson did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
